In it she confirmed the news about Alan's new love, writing: "Well there’s some cruel people in the world!
"Has anyone ever told you guys that if you’ve nothing nice to say then don’t say anything at all.

Actor Alan split from his co-star wife, Lucy-Jo, in May last year - just months after they had moved into a new family home with their daughter, five-year-old Sienna-Rae.

The met on the Manchester soap set and started dating in 2005.
They married in 2009 and briefly split in 2016 before announcing their divorce last year.
